Some of the best ideas in life don’t come from sitting in a boardroom with a stack of business plans. They come from moments of inspiration — a feeling you can’t ignore. For me, The Disco Divas started with one of those moments.
I’d been performing for years, singing gospel, soul, and pop in all kinds of settings. I’d worked with some incredible musicians and seen the magic that live music can create at weddings, parties, and corporate events. But I’d also noticed something else: a lot of events felt… the same.
Beautiful, yes. Fun, yes. But the entertainment often followed a formula — the same playlists, the same kind of bands, the same style of performance. And while those nights could be lovely, I kept thinking: We can do better.

It happened during a wedding where I’d been asked to sing a gospel-style version of a classic love song. The atmosphere in the room completely changed.
